Helmets

Motorcycle helmets clearly work to reduce injuries and fatalities among motorcyclists. Gulf Coast Motorcycle Training, Inc.© strongly recommends the use of a D.O.T. approved helmet while riding a motorcycle.

To register for either the Basic Rider Course® (BRC) or the Experienced Rider Course (ERC), you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

You must be able to ride a two-wheeled bicycle.
This is a pre-requisite for enrollment in the BRC.
You are required to execute a "Release, Waiver and Indemnification" form.
This form must be provided prior to participating in either of the courses. This release is included on the registration application and can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Students under the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian sign the waiver form on the first day of class.
Reserve your spot in a class with a pre-paid advance registration.
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, rain or shine.

Lodging

Early registration has its benefits. In order to assist some students who live a further distance from the training facility from have to rent lodging, GCMTI has two (2) bedrooms available at no charge. They are reserved on a first come- first serve basis. The bedrooms have a full bath with towels and bath cloths.

Safety Precautions

Riding a motorcycle requires that you be able to apply gradual pressure to the handlebar controls. Any condition which prevents you from gradually applying pressure to the handlebar controls can   make it dangerous for you to learn. Please be aware of your physical limitations.

Before registering for a course at GCMTI, please consider your physical condition and consider the appropriate time of year for you to take the course. It gets very hot during the summer months and sometimes very cold during the winter.

We ride in hot or cold weather, so please register during the time of year that is appropriate for you level of physical conditioning.
