Helmets

Motorcycle helmets clearly work to reduce injuries and fatalities among motorcyclists. Gulf Coast Motorcycle Training, Inc.© strongly recommends the use of a D.O.T. approved helmet while riding a motorcycle.

You are entering one of the greatest and most enjoyable sports in the world.

Whether you are a novice or experienced rider, Gulf Coast Motorcycle Training, Inc© has a class for you. Even if you have been riding for a long time, don't be fooled into believing that you will not learn a lot in a Basic Motorcycle Class.

Gulf Coast Motorcycle Training, Inc. is pleased to offer Motorcycle Rider Education courses developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and taught by professional instructors / rider Coach(s). These courses are approved by the State of Florida.

FLORIDA MOTORCYCLE DRIVER LICENSE LAWS EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008!

Basic Rider Course now required for all motorcycle endorsement

Starting July 1, new motorcyclists must take and pass the Basic Rider Course through the Florida Rider Trainer Program before they can have the motorcycle endorsement added to their license, per Section 322.12(5)(a)., Florida Statutes.

After July 1 of this year, everyone will have to take the class and pass the test, no matter their age.  Upon successful completion, the GCMTI  will submit the pass results electronically to the DHSMV records. Upon receiving the results, you will be processed for a motorcycle endorsement.

After you complete the course go to a driver license office or tax collector office that issues licenses and inform them that you completed the course. Upon providing proper ID and paying the required endorsements fees your license will be issued with a motorcycle endorsement.

You can no longer go to the driver's license office and get a permit or  take the test.

If you have completed the Experienced Rider Course (ERC) but did not secure the endorsement before July 1, 2008, you still have to take the Basic Rider Course before you can secure the endorsement and be legal to drive a motorcycle.

We still offer the ERC even though it does not qualify you to receive the endorsement.

Approximately 99% of the experienced riders that take the Basic Riders Course are glad they took it and leave wishing all riders would take this course first.

So, come along and we will fill you in on what it is all about.

When you are looking for motorcycling training, you want the very best, and that is what you will have with Gulf Coast Motorcycle Training, Inc.
